Women's Ministries
Women are called by God to help their husbands and submit to them
(Eph 5:22-24), to care for their children (Titus 2:3-4), to oversee
the home with joy and diligence (Proverbs 31), to minister in the
church by teaching other women (Titus 2:3-4) and being active in
service (1 Timothy 5:9-10). This high calling requires women to be
passionately committed to God's Word, to God's church, to their
families, and to honoring God in the work He has provided to enrich
their homes.
To this end we seek to provide women with weekly encouragement in
practical Christian living, with opportunities for in-depth Bible
study, and with the oversight and implementation of multiple service
ministries within the church.
Women's Bible Studies
These studies are held at various times throughout the year in order to
best meet the spiritual needs of the women in our church. We offer
inductive and topical studies on a rotating basis.
The current study is reading through the book
Spiritual Mothering by
Susan Hunt. Two different times are available: Wednesday evenings at 7
pm at the church or Friday afternoons at 2 pm in the Dailey's home. They
are scheduled on an every other week basis. For more specific
information and dates, please contact the church office.
Prison Ministry
On the last Sunday and following Thursday of each month the women meet
at the Blount County Jail to encourage, pray with, and teach God's Word
to the inmates. Each evening we have the privilege of ministering to
50-60 inmates who are starving to hear God's Word taught with depth and
truth.
Women's Ministries
The women of Grace are involved in a variety of service and support
ministries such as preparing food for the sick, ministering to elderly,
and supporting area ministries such as the Chilhowee Baptist Center and
the Pregnancy Resource Center.
Women's Retreat
Each year we hold a retreat to help us grow in our relationship with the
Lord and with one another. These are excellent times of fellowship and
in-depth Bible study.
